Austin Grimes
President
Austin started TCS with a vision of a providing the market with a brand it can trust rooted in servitude and consultancy. His background spans multiple industries including construction, software, finance, and consulting. After graduating from the US Military Academy at West Point, he served in the US Army for 8 years before completing his MBA at NC State University and finally planting roots in Raleigh where he has helped multiple small businesses across a variety of industries build and execute growth strategies.
Brian Buland
president, operations
Brian is the co-founder of TCS and provides operational guidance to the company. After his undergrad at NC State, Brian served in the Marine Corps before completing his MBA at UNC Chapel Hill. Brian lends his operational expertise to multiple non-profits in the Triangle Region and hails from New Bern, NC where his family still resides.
Steven Johnson
Foreman
Having spent a decade in our industry, Steven is one of the most experienced polyurethane foam operators in the country. Throughout his career, Steven has lifted thousands of concrete slabs, hundreds of building structures, completed dozens of DOT and Railway projects, and dozens of Seawall & Bulk Head repairs — all using polyurethane foam. His expertise has carried him all over the eastern seaboard and spans multiple product lines and vendors. If there’s work to be done with concrete lifting or soil stabilization, Steven is the man with the plan!
Jaylan Williamson
lead installer
An active member of the NC Army National Guard and Bunn, NC native, Jaylan joined the TCS team in early 2022 and is actively working to achieve Crew Leader status. Jaylan is one of the most humble individuals you will ever meet and through his presence, reminds our team each and every day what true humility in greatness looks like.
Robby K.
Project manager
Robby has been a leader in the polyurethane foam industry for over eight years focused on the commercial application of both dual and single-component foam products. His expertise in engineering and design have allowed our team to implement creative solutions on multiple projects. Robby’s experience spans commercial application, multi-story building application, and seawall repair. He both engineers and builds multiple field tested products and pieces of equipment that our team utilizes for seawall repair and single component, soil stabilization applications.
Chris Varon
operations manager
Chris comes to TCS from the beverage distributing industry (so if you need advice on up and coming drinks or the best whiskey, he’s your guy!). Chris has filled multiple roles at TCS as an all-around utility player and finds success in each role due to his genuine care for people. An optimist at heart, Chris sets the daily example for our team when it comes to one of our core tenets: taking care of ALL people.
Andrew

Andrew provides consultancy on all things foam. He has owned and operated multiple businesses across the polyurethane and polyurea industries and is one of our industry’s leading thought providers for project setup and material selection. A member of the NCFI team, Andrew provides guidance and expertise to TCS on our more difficult projects.
